Alberico Sessa is an Italian American, born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Staten Island. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University where he was a member of the Fordham University Men’s Crew. He received his first post-graduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1997. Dr. Sessa earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University College of Medicine in 2000. He then served his internship in General Surgery at Charity Hospital, and afterward completed his residency in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisiana State University, New Orleans, one of the nations top 2 programs.
Following residency, Dr. Sessa completed a Facial & Full Body Cosmetic Surgery fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. This fellowship allowed Dr. Sessa to exclusively and intensively train in cosmetic surgery, where he participated in more than 700 facial and body cosmetic procedures with board certified cosmetic and plastic surgeons. Dr. Sessa has been trained in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, including minimal incision face and breast surgery with endoscopy including transaxillary (through the underarm) breast augmentation. Dr. Sessa created a revolutionary modification of the S-lift called the SmartLiftTM, which has dramatically reduced recovery time while providing results equivalent to that of a standard face lift. Dr. Sessa is dedicated to providing his patients with the newest technology and highest quality care.
