More Mommy Makeover Questions Answered
Should I have a mommy makeover if I plan to have more children?
Dr. Sessa encourages you to weigh your desire for more children before proceeding. If you do become pregnant, you will likely see unwanted changes in the same areas and reverse the results.
How long should I wait after the birth of my last child?
On average, we recommend that you wait at least six months after the delivery of your last child before having a body contouring procedure, including breast augmentation, tummy tuck, breast lift, or liposuction. Dr. Sessa typically prefers that you lose most of the baby weight and finish breastfeeding at least three months before your mommy makeover. This will help optimize results.
When can I return to work?
Most patients return to non-strenuous work within two weeks. Dr. Sessa will provide you with more information during your consultation because everyone’s recovery is slightly different based on the cosmetic procedures completed during the mommy makeover.
