Silicone Breast Implants 

Silicone breast implants are the more popular implant type for breast augmentation, North Port. Silicone implants provide a more natural shape and movement. It’s best for patients who have a bit more natural breast tissue, as the overhang can hide the scars. It also allows Dr. Sessa more access to the tissue and muscle. However, it’s not ideal for patients who have less natural breast tissue, as the scars will be visible. 

Periareolar Incision 

The periareolar incisions are made around the outside rim of the nipple. It leaves a half-moon scar that often blends in with the natural shade of the areola. It’s often used if you are looking to undergo a breast augmentation, North Port, and breast lift at the same time. Additionally, the scar often fades and blends well with the color of the nipple, making it a well-hidden location. 

However, the periareolar incisions can interfere with the nipple and milk production. Additionally, it can also interfere with nipple sensation.
