Facelift Options In Orlando

As we said, there are many different facelift options. Some Orlando facelifts reach a different level of facial rejuvenation than others, but the one that’s right for you depends on your needs and goals. Dr. Sessa can help you find the perfect solution that will highlight your features and walk you through the entire process. Let’s take a look at the different types of facelifts, so you can have a good understanding before your initial consultation.

Mini Facelift

A mini facelift, offers the smallest amount of tightening and facial rejuvenation, but it does involve the least amount of recovery. In fact, it’s often referred to as the weekend facelift due to how quickly you’ll be back on your feet. It’s best if you’re looking for a little lift around your lower face and jaw and don’t need in-depth rejuvenation across a larger area.

Traditional Facelift

A traditional facelift is the most common among patients, as it reaches deeper layers of tissue and muscle. It helps provide a youthful appearance to the mid and lower areas of the face and eliminates any sagging tissue there. The recovery process is longer, but this is often a great solution for those who want more wrinkles and skin removal.

SmartLift

A SmartLift is the middle ground between a mini facelift and a traditional facelift. It uses precise techniques to achieve the results of a traditional but similar recovery of a mini. A SmartLift is great if you need more in-depth results but want to avoid a more extensive healing process.

Deep Plane Facelift

A deep plane facelift, is the most in-depth surgery of all the options. It tightens the tissues as one unit in order to create the best skin elimination and rejuvenation. It reaches larger areas of the face and provides the most facial rejuvenation. It can eliminate significant wrinkles, tighten extremely lax skin, and create profound results.

Midface Lift

A midface lift is a type of facelift, Orlando, that focuses on the middle of the face. It doesn’t pull the skin and muscles in the lower jaw or lower facial region but rather redefines the cheekbones and midface. It eliminates wrinkles and creates a striking contour throughout the cheeks.

Facelift Steps

The first, and perhaps, most important step of a facelift, Orlando, is to find a provider. We want you to find a cosmetic surgeon who makes you feel comfortable and confident in your experience. (Please don’t just find the cheapest provider and go from there. This is your face we’re talking about here.)

Take your time when talking with providers, and ask as many questions as you’d like. While we know Dr. Sessa is one of the best; we want you to make the best decision for yourself when it comes to choosing a provider.

Facelift Procedure

Your procedure will depend on the type of facelift, Orlando, you undergo. Dr. Sessa will perform the type of procedure you decide on during a consultation. However, the surgery can last anywhere from three to five hours, so you will need to make sure you have someone drive you to and from the surgery, as you will not be able to drive yourself home.

Recovery

Recovering from a facelift also depends on the type of surgery you undergo. A deep plane facelift will recover more recovery time than a mini but is similar to that of a traditional one.  Some recovery steps may include:

  • Take all medication prescribed by Dr. Sessa so you can get adequate rest
  • Leave all facial bandages on until Dr. Sessa removes them
  • Rest with your head in an elevated position (this will help reduce the swelling)
  • Attend every follow-up appointment so Dr. Sessa can make sure you’re healing correctly
  • Avoid strenuous exercise or physical activity until Dr. Sessa clears you

The swelling will last around six weeks or longer, depending on your body and how you react to the procedure. You should be able to return to work after the first week or two, but be sure to talk with Dr. Sessa before returning to your normal routine.
