I realized shortly before my last birthday that I was putting on “fat” in the same areas my mother has. I have always tried to eat well and stay in shape, spending time in the gym 3 to 4 times weekly, but my genetics were catching up with me. I heard about Dr. Sessa’s Laser Liposuction both on the television and on the radio and thought I would look in to it. After a visit to his website, it looked more like a viable option. I had seen traditional liposuction on the Discovery Channel and saw it as a violent, aggressive procedure and very invasive. Frankly, it looked scary. After visiting Dr. Sessa’s office and talking to Christine, who answered all my questions, I decided that laser liposuction had all the plusses I could possibly want, and some additional ones, and none of the negatives. I scheduled my procedure that day: inner thighs, outer thighs (saddle bags), lower stomach (the area which has been my nemesis all my life) and my hips or love handle area. I did elect the twilight sleep, since I thought this would be easier and less uncomfortable. They made the surgery so easy and were very gentle and accommodating. After the surgery, I found the pain no worse than a heavy leg workout at the gym. I was out walking my dog within two days (1 mile walks) and I was back in the gym on the treadmill within the week. I was amazed at the outcome. Within a month the swelling had started to go down and could see real results. I was religious about wearing my compression garment; I wore it 24/7 for the first six months after my surgery. As the months progressed, I could see the results improving almost weekly. My skin was tight, smooth and I no longer had cellulite on my thighs! It was hard to believe that I actually had a flat stomach for the first time in my life! I did, however, notice that I still had a roll above the waistband in my jeans, so Dr. Sessa and I decided a revision of the love handles/hip area was in order. Due to the second surgery being a single area, I was back to walking the dog (2 miles) the next day and was back to my usual regimen of weightlifting and zumba classes in the gym within the week. It was literally a piece of cake. I am now two months out from the revision and I no longer have rolls anywhere. My jeans and waist bands are smooth, no bulges, no lumps, and no pooches. I actually have a waist! I couldn’t be a happier. I feel confident in my bikini at the pool for the first time in more years than I can remember. I feel great and I have noticed my boyfriend staring at me in the evenings as I get out of the shower, he has a little smirk on his face and I can tell that he likes what he sees. I feel confident now, like I can take on the world. I ran into a friend of mine last week, we go to school together, and she confided in me that she has breast augmentation and traditional liposuction last September. My surgery was in December. I had kept my surgery a closely guarded secret, with only my boyfriend and a couple of friends knowing what I had done. But when my friend told me about her surgery, I, in return told her about mine. I showed her my thighs, showing her my tiny little scar from the incision and she was shocked at how skinny my thighs are now. I told her about the properties of the laser, shrinking and smoothing the skin, and the significant results I had seen. I could see she wished she had done the laser procedure instead. I would recommend Dr. Sessa and his staff to anyone, and certainly recommended the laser liposuction. The lack of real pain or discomfort from the surgery, the rapid return to work and normal activities, to in clued the gym and the radical results are more payoff than I had ever expected.
